MAKING EVERYDAY
COOKING MORE EFFICIENT
AND AFFORDABLE.

Millions of households across Sub-Saharan Africa still cook with charcoal and wood. Our approach expands access to efficient cookstoves that reduce fuel use by more than 35%.

OUR APPROACH

Delivering cleaner cooking at scale requires more than better technology.
Our work is built on five core commitments:

Local Manufacturing
Energy-efficient cookstoves are manufactured in the markets where they are used, supporting local employment, strengthening supply chains, and keeping production costs low as demand grows.

Quality Assurance
Manufacturing is closely connected to our on-the-ground teams, allowing continuous oversight, regular quality checks, and strong alignment between production and real-world use.

Strategic Distribution
Distribution networks are designed to reach the households most dependent on charcoal and wood, where more efficient cooking can deliver the greatest economic and environmental benefits.

User Support and Usage
Households receive guidance on stove use alongside ongoing support to encourage sustained adoption. Each stove is provided with a one-year warranty, with access to local sales agents for troubleshooting and assistance.

Verified Impact
Independent monitoring and third-party verification ensure emission reductions are real, measurable, and issued under rigorous international standards, enabling credible carbon finance to scale energy-efficient cooking.

OUR TECHNOLOGY:
MORE EFFICIENT COOKING, WITH LESS FUEL

The innovation lies in the design: a thick ceramic liner that increases combustion efficiency and directs heat toward the cooking surface rather than allowing it to escape. This allows households to achieve the same cooking results with less fuel. Built for everyday use, the stoves are durable, stable, and designed to reduce fuel costs over time.

35% - 50% Less Charcoal

Energy-efficient stove design allows families to cook using less charcoal, reducing fuel costs and pressure on local forests.

Faster Cooking

More efficient heat transfer reduces cooking times, giving families hours back each week.

Lower Household Costs

Using less charcoal means families can save more than $100 per year on cooking fuel.

Measurable Climate Impact

Each stove prevents approximately 1–2 tonnes of CO₂e per year, delivering verified environmental benefits.

Nearly 20 years

of local manufacturing partnerships

Lasting impact depends on more than better technology -
it requires systems that scale.

By partnering with local manufacturers, production stays close to the communities served, enabling the production and distribution of more than one million cookstoves, making this one of the largest cookstove projects in Africa.

Local Jobs

Manufacturing partnerships create skilled and semi-skilled employment in the communities where cookstoves are produced.

Regional Supply Chains

Production uses locally sourced materials and components where possible, supporting local businesses and wider economic activity.

Scalable Production

Local manufacturing allows production to increase quickly as demand grows, helping expand access to efficient cooking technologies.

Designed for Local Markets

Stoves are developed for the cooking practices, fuels, and conditions households rely on, helping ensure sustained adoption.
